If you’ve ever been to Sherburne, New York, chances are you’ve heard of Gilligan’s Ice Cream. For decades, Gilligan’s Island has been a local favorite, serving up high-quality food and gourmet ice cream that keeps people coming back for more. In 1994, we took our passion for ice cream to the next level, crafting our own hard ice cream using fresh milk from local farms. The result? Unforgettable flavors that bring smiles to everyone who tries them. By 2018, we knew it was time to share our ice cream with even more people, so we launched our wholesale division, expanding production to bring Gilligan’s Ice Cream to new markets. As we grew, we partnered with scoop shops, restaurants, farm stands, Taste NY stores, and private retailers, all while continuously innovating new flavors. Our creativity took us even further when we started experimenting with craft beer, wine, cider, and spirits, developing flavors infused with alcohol. To make this vision a reality, we worked directly with lawmakers in Albany to modify existing laws, allowing businesses like ours to sell alcohol-infused ice cream without requiring a liquor license. Today, you can find Gilligan’s Ice Cream in more than 60 locations, and we’re just getting started. Whether you’re one or 101, we have a delicious frozen treat waiting for you. Meet the owners

Andy Lagoe and Gil Hodges first crossed paths in the summer of 1990 while working at Gilligan’s Island, where they quickly discovered their passion for the ice cream business. Throughout their college years, they spent long hours perfecting their craft and learning everything they could about making great ice cream. In 1995, Gil pursued a career in engineering, but his love for entrepreneurship and ice cream never faded. Meanwhile, Andy remained at Gilligan’s, working alongside his brother Mike to keep the family business thriving. When the time was right, Andy and Gil teamed up to launch Gilligan’s Ice Cream, with Mike playing an essential role in bringing their vision to life.
